How to be Happy? 10 Ways to be happy alone and live better
How to be Happy? 10 Ways to be happy alone?
Happiness: An emotion and mental wellbeing of feeling joy. The release of Dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin to feel emotion of satiation and great delight.
Why Happiness is difficult to define?
Happiness is actually a feeling. You cannot measure it. You cannot put a number to it. You cannot quantify it. You cannot analyze it. You cannot explain it. You cannot compare it. So why is so hard to be happy? Well, its all your mind, choose happiness and let it do it magic on your life. Yes, not everything is sunshine and rainbows, but neither everything is sad and depressing.
There is no single definition of happiness, that fully describe
the vastness of the term happiness as it can range from person to person, as no
two humans are the same. Happiness is
not something that we can easily define. We often use words like “happy”,
“joyful”, “optimistic”, “content”, “excited”, “relaxed”, “satisfaction”, “cheerful”,
etc., to describe Happiness. But these words do not have any concrete
definitions. In fact, they are quite vague.
Happiness is subjective.
Happiness is
subjective. No two people would ever agree on what makes them happy. Everyone
has their own unique set of values, beliefs, and experiences. Everyone sees
life from their eyes, and they make out the limits to things that bring them
joy So, how can we possibly say that someone else is happier than us? You can
never compare happiness; it can’t be measured.
Happiness is relative.
Happiness is relative. If you are happy today, then you
might not be happy tomorrow. It depends on the environment that you are in. Your
mood changes depending on many factors. You may feel happy if you win at a
game, but sad if you lose. You may feel excited if you get a promotion, but disappointed
if you fail to pass the test. If you are surrounded by people that bring the
best out of you, you are happy but if you are surrounded be people that makes you
anxious you are nervous.
Happiness is fleeting.
Happiness is fleeting. When you are happy, you tend to
forget about everything around you. You may even start forgetting things that
make you unhappy. And when you are unhappy, you tend to remember only those
things that make you happy and that makes your mood bitter.
Happiness is a state of mind and a choice.
Happiness is a state of mind rather than a thing. A person
who is happy does not necessarily have a lot of money or material possessions.
He/she may just be content with his/her life with those few resources they have.
Happiness is also a choice. You can choose to be either of those two emotions.
You can choose to enjoy the good times or focus on the bad ones. You can choose
to appreciate the little things in life or complain about the big ones. You can
make your life a place for optimistic thought or you can flip everything over.
What does Happiness look like?
The first thing I think about when I hear the word happiness
is my parents. After a long working day, the tea time is the highlight of the
day. The happiness radiated through us. Happiness is baking your favorite
cookies, and your family enjoying them. Happiness is the rain after a hot,
scorching day. The things that make people happy, are as trivial as like going
out to eat, spending time with their friends, and just being together.
We've all heard the
saying 'happiness is a choice', and while it may not be true 100% of the time,
it does help to know that you have control over your own happiness. You can
choose to be happy, and if you do, then you'll find yourself surrounded by
people who want to make you smile. That want good for you. Happiness needs to
be created by you, you can have lots of resources but no happiness, and you can
have limited resources and tons of reasons to be happy about.
Positive Thinking and happy mind.
Believing that
positive thinking can mold your life for finest, is the best way to live your
life. If you're constantly thinking negative thoughts, then you won't be able
to enjoy anything. Negative thoughts drain your energy and keep you down, you
will be in a constant loop hole of past and future, forgetting that your
present will be destroyed in this trance. Instead, try to think positively.
Think about something that makes you feel good, something that brings you joy
and pleasure and focus on that instead of focusing on the negatives.
If you don't have any positive thoughts, try to think about
someone who makes you happy. Maybe it's your family, or maybe it's a friend. An
activity that takes your mind of useless thoughts, something that makes you
forget about negative an energy-draining thoughts. It can be as simple as
watching a sunset or as big as taking care of a living plant. Whatever it is,
think about them and remember how great they make you feel.
How to be happy in your own company?
Gratitude is another great way to stay happy. If you're
grateful for everything around you, you'll be happier than ever before. Start
by taking note of all the little things that you appreciate. Maybe it's the
smell of coffee brewing, or the sound of raindrops hitting the window. Just
take notice of these small things and write them down. Then, look back at those
notes throughout the day and read them again.
