Confession is a Japanese thriller by Kanae Minato translated into English.
Confession, a thriller, and suspense are narrated in Five Different Perspectives on the Same incident, There are the perspectives of a Teacher, three students, and the mother of one of the students on the death of the teacher's 4-year-old daughter. The book has a major plot at the end of chapter 1 and the last chapter. Anything can spoil the book because of how well the plots are scattered in the book.
REVIEW
The writing in this book is so interesting, instead of getting one whole plot from a single/dual perspective, we get to know the same event through all the characters, this type of writing concept was very new and interesting to me. It's so interesting how the same event can be told so much differently, with different people's eyes, and how different people narrate one same event with different opinions. The whole fun of the book is to just blind without knowing anything about the book, it gets way more interesting.
I was also shocked at how much after-school hours the teacher goes and frees the children from the troubles or problems they get themselves into. How different cultures have different ways of lifestyle and how teachers are responsible even after their work hours are over.
One thing that bothered me was that in a different perspectives the story got repetitive, yet this was a very clever and good thriller. It was definitely something different with AMAZING plot-twists
